Machinist — Clay County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a machinist in Clay County, North Carolina. The job is in a textile and apparel unit. What we are looking for: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching On a typical shift you will meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges. Full-time with occasional weekends. $15 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Share your details and we will call you back.
