Immediate opening: CNC mill setter-operator (Illinois)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a CNC mill setter-operator in Edgar County, Illinois. You will be based at a fabrication and machining plant. Day-to-day duties: • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance Ideal candidate: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift $4,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
