You should have: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to pass a weld test on the spot The role involves: • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding 4+ years on the tools preferred.
