Requirements: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection The role involves fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture.
