Road roller operator — Pittsylvania County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a road roller operator in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. You will work at a road-building project. On the job you will handle: • Operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material • Stockpile and spread material to the required levels • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket You should have: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
