Foundry labourer wanted in Inyo County

Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Inyo County, California. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. Day-to-day duties: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Basic grinding and fettling skills Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Pay around $3,100 per month, based on your experience. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
