Now hiring: we are hiring a core maker in Ransom County, North Dakota. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. On the job you will handle: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant Requirements: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection 3+ years on the tools preferred.
