Argon welding operator — Sangamon County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Sangamon County, Illinois. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. Day to day you will grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through. What we are looking for: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Full-time, day shift.
