Day to day you will load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed; operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; record output and downtime on the production sheet. Ideal candidate: • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
