Immediate opening: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Scott County, Indiana. What we are looking for: • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift • Able to grind and set HSS cutters The role involves mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $16 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
