Furnace operator wanted in Kalkaska County

Join our team: we are hiring a furnace operator in Kalkaska County, Michigan. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. You will maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills Six days a week, one day off.
