Immediate opening: argon welder (Florida)

Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welder in Lee County, Florida. You will work at a precision engineering workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal You should have: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Full-time, day shift.
