Foundry operative — Orleans County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry operative in Orleans County, Vermont. On the job you will handle: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Full-time with occasional weekends.
