Brick mason — Chemung County

Now hiring: we are hiring a brick mason in Chemung County, New York. You will work at a residential building site. You will buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
