We are recruiting: we are hiring a crane operator in Ondo West, Ondo State. You will work on a busy construction site. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Understanding of hand and radio signals Day to day you will climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); read and interpret the load chart before every lift; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block.
