Immediate opening: we are hiring a CNC milling operator in Allegany County, Maryland. You will work at a busy machine shop. The role involves: • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production You should have: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
