Argon welder wanted in Stevens County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in Stevens County, Kansas. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges What we are looking for: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Six days a week, one day off.
