Great opportunity: system formwork carpenter (Texas)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a system formwork carpenter in Jim Hogg County, Texas. Day to day you will read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints; cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs; de-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse; seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss. What we are looking for: • Able to read formwork and structural drawings • Confident working at height on scaffold and decking • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
