Horticulturist — Black Hawk County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a horticulturist in Black Hawk County, Iowa. The job is on a golf course. Day-to-day duties: • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn • Repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds • Operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads You should have: • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers 5+ years on the tools preferred.
