Fettler — Madison County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fettler in Madison County, Tennessee. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Basic grinding and fettling skills Day to day you will prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
