Immediate opening: tower crane operator (Virginia)

Join our team: we are hiring a tower crane operator in City of Falls Church, Virginia. You will be based in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. On a typical shift you will grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination 3+ years on the tools preferred.
