Brickwork mason • Highland County, Virginia

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Highland County, Virginia. The job is on a scaffolded high-rise site. The role involves: • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses Ideal candidate: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Part-time with flexible hours.
