Now hiring: we are hiring an uPVC window fitter in Pope County, Illinois. The job is at a glazing and fabrication factory. On a typical shift you will glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square; install finished windows and doors, pack and anchor-fix them, then foam and silicone the perimeter; cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame; crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame; take site measurements of openings before fabrication; fit EPDM gaskets and brush-pile weather seals along the rails. Ideal candidate: • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads • Comfortable handling and lifting glazed units safely Six days a week, one day off. $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
