Great opportunity: we are hiring a plant operator in Throckmorton County, Texas. The job is at a road-building project. Ideal candidate: • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery • Valid heavy equipment / plant operator licence • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise Day-to-day duties: • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Check for underground cables and services before digging • Stockpile and spread material to the required levels Rotating shifts.
