Vacancy available: we are hiring an excavator operator in McLean County, Illinois. The role involves carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension; work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals; excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels; read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles; stockpile and spread material to the required levels; level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise 6+ years on the tools preferred.
