Elevator service technician — Monroe County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an elevator service technician in Monroe County, Michigan. The job is in a hospital with heavy lift traffic. Your main tasks: • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays Requirements: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring Part-time with flexible hours.
