Vacancy available: steam press operator (Kentucky)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a steam press operator in Rockcastle County, Kentucky. The job is in a garment export house. Day to day you will hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; give each garment a final press before packing; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents. What we are looking for: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $31 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
