Vacancy available: we are hiring a head butcher in Hamblen County, Tennessee. The job is in a meat processing plant. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers Day-to-day duties: • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
