Great opportunity: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Scotts Bluff County, Nebraska. The job is at a dry cleaner's. Requirements: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Day to day you will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics.
