Excavator operator wanted in Clinton County

Join our team: we are hiring an excavator operator in Clinton County, Iowa. The job is at a plant hire yard. On the job you will handle: • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Check for underground cables and services before digging • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently Full-time, day shift.
