Gas meter installer wanted in Cumbria

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Cumbria, England. You should have: • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches Day to day you will fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances; install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation; braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints; read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around £3,150 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
