Urgent requirement: paint and prep technician (Scotland)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a paint and prep technician in The Scottish Borders, Scotland. The job is in a car refinishing workshop. Requirements: • Good eye for colour matching and blending • Sound knowledge of 2K paints, primers and hardeners • Able to read and match factory paint codes Day-to-day duties: • Mask off trim, glass and rubber seals with tape and paper • Compound and polish the cured finish to a high gloss • Strip clean the spray guns and change the booth filters • Mix two-pack (2K) clear coat with hardener in the correct ratio • Check the colour match under booth lights against the maker's swatch • Apply body filler and block-sand to a smooth contour At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
