Safety inspector — San Mateo County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a safety inspector in San Mateo County, California. The job is on a road and infrastructure project. You will investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry. Ideal candidate: • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces 6+ years on the tools preferred.
