Fire and safety officer — Jefferson County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Jefferson County, Oregon. Day-to-day duties: • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action Requirements: • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements Pay around $3,200 per month, based on your experience.
