Vacancy available: we are hiring a bench joiner in Bethel Census Area, Alaska. The job is at a shopfitting company. Ideal candidate: • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work • At least 2 years' hands-on carpentry experience • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height Day-to-day duties: • Read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw • Apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish • Fix studwork and plasterboard partitions • Hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles 6+ years on the tools preferred.
