Urgent requirement: rigger (Kansas)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a rigger in Rawlins County, Kansas. You will work at a shipyard. You should have: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear On the job you will handle: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
