Immediate opening: die-casting operator (Vermont)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Windsor County, Vermont. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. The role involves: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale Requirements: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
