Gang bricklayer • Leelanau County, Michigan

Join our team: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Leelanau County, Michigan. You will work at a groundworks and structures site. Your main tasks: • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge What we are looking for: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Rotating shifts.
