Now hiring: we are hiring a surface coating operator in Colfax County, Nebraska. The job is at a fabrication and coating plant. Day-to-day duties: • Apply an even powder coat with the electrostatic spray gun • Reclaim and sieve overspray powder for reuse • Check dry film thickness with a DFT gauge in microns • Set the electrostatic gun voltage (kV) and powder flow • Top up and monitor pre-treatment chemical bath concentrations • Keep parts properly earthed so the powder transfers well Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, respirator and fire-safety norms • Keen eye for finish quality and surface defects • Knowledge of pre-treatment and phosphating process Rotating shifts.
