Head baker — Marshall County

Join our team: we are hiring a head baker in Marshall County, Illinois. You will be based in a hotel pastry kitchen. Day to day you will monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch; weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe; boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them. You should have: • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks • 2+ years' experience as a baker Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $4,900 per month plus benefits.
