Core maker — Montgomery County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in Montgomery County, Alabama. You should have: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills The role involves skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant. 4+ years on the tools preferred. $26 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
