Ironing operator wanted in Delaware County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an ironing operator in Delaware County, Iowa. The job is in a garment export house. Day-to-day duties: • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board What we are looking for: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
