Ideal candidate: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges Day to day you will write and edit G-code programs at the control; set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets; top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear.
