Shakeout operator — Oconee County

Now hiring: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Oconee County, Georgia. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Day to day you will carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch.
