Vacancy available: gantry crane operator (Minnesota)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Lake County, Minnesota. You will be based at a container port and shipping yard. Ideal candidate: • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes On a typical shift you will set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off.
