Vacancy available: we are hiring a fusing press operator in LeFlore County, Oklahoma. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. On the job you will handle: • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press Ideal candidate: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine 6+ years on the tools preferred.
