Now hiring: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Henderson County, Illinois. Your main tasks: • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench What we are looking for: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
