Mason's helper — Boone County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a mason's helper in Boone County, Illinois. You will be based on a road and bridge project. On the job you will handle: • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up • Wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean • Cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days • Bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations • Stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage You should have: • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio Full-time, day shift.
