Lorry driver — Aiken County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a lorry driver in Aiken County, South Carolina. You will be based at a container freight yard. You should have: • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules • Minimum 2 years' long-haul experience • Current Driver CPC qualification card On the job you will handle: • Carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock • Plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules • Secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars • Present documents at weighbridges and check posts At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $5,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
