Urgent requirement: we are hiring a lift erector in Stark County, Illinois. The job is in a machine room on the rooftop. Day-to-day duties: • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy You should have: • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards 1+ years on the tools preferred. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
